National MP Simon Bridges will make an announcement about the National party leadership contest at 11am.

Mr Bridges is the MP for Tauranga and the party's spokesperson for Economic & Regional Development and Immigration, and is Shadow Leader of the House.
In the previous National government he held a number of ministerial portfolios including Energy, Transport and Economic Development.
