Neil Broom will miss the rest of the Bangladesh T20 series and is in doubt for the start of the upcoming Chappell-Hadlee series against Australia after suffering a fractured finger.
The 33-year-old damaged the digit whilst fielding in the New Zealand's six wicket win over Bangladesh in Napier on the 3rd.
It is expected that he will be side-lined for 7-10 days.
The injury is a set-back for Broom who has enjoyed a purple patch of form after being recalled into the international setup.
Central Stags' all-rounder George Worker has been called as replacement into the side with veteran Ross Taylor not considered due to a slight side-strain injury.
In the situation that the Stags make the final of the domestic Super Smash competition on Saturday and Worker is not selected for the second, Worker will be released to his domestic side.
