Team New Zealand will field two sets of twins as they get set to take on a tough Northern Hemisphere contingent at the water skiing Junior World Championships in Chile this week.
Ashburton's George and Hugh Donaldson will be joined by Taine and Cody Gibson from Timaru in the six person team. And they'll look to bring their sibling rivalry into the international competition.
The Donaldson twins told Newshub that with them both being in the side, the performance of the team can only improve.
"Whatever he does, I do, we just push each other on," Hugh Donaldson said.
Meanwhile, Taine Gibson said that whilst water skiing was a dangerous sport, there was no place he'd rather be.
"[My first jump] wasn't the greatest. I landed upside down which was a good experience," Gibson said.
"You just come off the top and it's just that split second of floating flying up there, there's nothing like it."
Jumps are the most extreme, but they're only part of the competition with the skiers also needing to deliver speed in the Slalom and show in the Trick disciplines.
Teammate Lily Meade gave encouragement to anyone wishing to follow in their footsteps but said that they've got to be ok with getting a little wet.
"Most of the time you're in the water when you're learning tricks because you just keep falling off. But you just have to keep trying them", said Meade.
The championships take place between the 5th and 8th of January.
