The Blues have refused to give any further details over Sonny Bill Williams' conscientious objection to wearing logos not aligned with his personal values.
At their media session on Tuesday, the Blues handed members of the press a document regarding the jersey alteration saga - requesting reporters not ask any of the individual players about it.
"New Zealand Rugby and the Blues are still in discussions with sponsors regarding Sonny's conscientious objection to wearing certain sponsors' logos on his playing kit," the statement read.
"Those discussions have been positive to date and we will be in a position to announce the outcome shortly.
"In the meantime neither the Blues nor Sonny has anything to add. We ask media to respect that in their one-on-one interviews today and not to ask players for their views on the subject."
Meanwhile, back-rower Steven Luatua has said it's not a distraction for the team and that Williams has his support.
"I think it's great for something to stand up for his convictions, his beliefs, his values, so it doesn't affect me, doesn't affect the team," Luatua told Newshub.
"You have to back your brothers up, no matter what his convictions may be."
On Sunday afternoon, Williams tweeted that the exact reasons for the logo cover-up will be revealed by him later in the week.
