Kiwis around the country rose early on Tuesday to see Team New Zealand claim the America's Cup in Bermuda.
Prime Minister Bill English was in on the action and filmed his own, slightly awkward, reaction to the win.
He stands poised by his television set as the team sails over the finish line, not missing an opportunity to Snapchat the moment.
Staring straight down the barrel of the camera, he cheered and fist-pumped.
Mr English joined the social media platform only last week.
He also posted the video to Twitter, calling the win an "Outstanding effort".
"Congratulations from us all here in NZ celebrating your #AmericasCup win," he says. "We are so proud of you."
