Toro Rosso have confirmed Kiwi Brendon Hartley will race with the team for the reminder of the season, replacing Daniil Kvyat.
Hartley will race the remaining three races this season at the Brazil and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, as well as this weekend's Mexico race alongside Pierre Gasly.
But along with that, he must finish his season with Porsche in the World Endurance Championship, which has two races reaming in Shanghai and Bahrain.
- Motorsport expert Bob McMurray believes Kiwi Brendon Hartley perfectly suited to Toro Rosso for 2018
"Yes I can confirm it is 100 percent Brendon will remain in the car for the rest of the season. He also has to finish his Porsche commitments, so he will be a busy boy," Toro Rosso Team manager Graham Watson told Newshub.
Hartley made his Formula 1 debut on the weekend at the US Grand Prix, where he finished 13th overall.
He became the first Kiwi to race Formula 1 since 1984.
Meanwhile, Toro Rosso are yet to comment on Kvyat's future but Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko was quoted telling Auto Bild: "Kvyat will not return again.
"We do not believe he can make the turnaround in the long term.
"Gasly and Hartley are finishing the season. Then we'll see what happens."
