Kiwi Steven Adams has had another strong performance as the Oklahoma City Thunder claimed a narrow 90-87 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday (NZ time).

Fresh off scoring a career-high 27 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the centre scores 19 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and three steals as the Thunder claimed back-to-back wins.

His teammate Russell Westbrook claimed his seventh triple-double of the season, scoring a game-high 22 points to go along with his 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Spurs were without a number of their star players including LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard who were being rested.

With key players missing Dejounte Murray stood up, top-scored for the Spurs with 17 points while Davis Betans scored 16 off the bench.

The Thunder started the game strong and held a 54-43 lead at the break, but the Spurs fought back, taking the lead for the first time early in the fourth quarter.

Both teams struggled shooting the ball late in the match, but late baskets from Raymond Felton and Paul George were enough to get the Thunder over the line to claim their tenth win this season.

The Thunder face the Utah Jazz in their next match on Wednesday (NZ time).
