Former NRL star Beau Ryan believes the Warriors will only continue to improve in 2018, saying the Warriors 'are only going to get better'.
The Penrose-based club are off to their best start in history with five wins to start the season as they sit second on the NRL ladder ahead of this weekend's clash against the Brisbane Broncos.
During his career, Ryan played 126 NRL games between 2007-2014 but had to retire due to an on-going neck injury and has since been a co-host on the NRL Footy Show.
Speaking to Newshub at an Adidas event in Gold Coast, Ryan said he has been impressed with the Warriors success this season.
"The good thing about the Warriors is that they are beating some serious sides and they probably haven't played to their full potential yet," he told Newshub.
"They have a wonderful coach; I'm a big fan of their Alex Corvo, strength and condition coach, a Brian Smith is doing a good job."
"It's scary to think that the Warriors are only going to get better."
The Warriors are looking for their sixth-straight win this weekend against the Broncos at Mt Smart Stadium.
The Broncos meanwhile head into the match coming off back-to-back losses and sit 12th on the NRL ladder.
Ryan picked the Warriors to get past Brisbane on Saturday afternoon, but he is expecting it to be a tight contest.
"I like the Warriors over there, but I think the Broncos will lift and go for an ambush."
