Travel chaos is continuing for those flying out of Auckland on Tuesday.

Like Monday, fog in Auckland has been impacting flights - but the challenge for travellers will be actually getting to the airport as a vehicle fire in Māngere is backing up traffic for motorists heading towards the airport.

Auckland Airport said a main trunk flight to Wellington had been cancelled on Tuesday morning due to fog.

Another 11 domestic regional flights had been cancelled and 15 domestic regional flights had been delayed.

International flights were not affected by the fog.

The fog restrictions were lifted just after 7:30am.

It comes as police responded to a vehicle fire on George Bolt Memorial Dr in Māngere.

Police said the fire was reported just before 6am on Tuesday.

A section of George Bolt Memorial Dr was closed earlier due to the fire, but police have since reopened the road.
