News of James Comey's firing has taken the internet by storm.
Political figures, commentators, and members of the public have taken to Twitter to express their distaste in President Donald Trump's decision to remove the FBI director.
It surprisingly included NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowden, who called out Mr Trump despite his hate for Mr Comey.
He called on people to condemn what he says was an unjustified political interference.
Snowden is widely known not to be Mr Comey's biggest fan, but urged people to fight back.
Others made light of the news calling out the US President for being frightened of Mr Comey.
