Amidst escalating global tension, basketball legend Dennis Rodman wants the world to realise that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is, "Just like everyone else."
In an interview on Good Morning Britain, the sports star discussed his relationship with the dictator, describing how they bond over riding horses, skiing and singing karaoke.
Rodman described Kim Jong Un as "always laughing, always smiling."
In response to the violent rhetoric being exchanged between the US and North Korea currently, Rodman says that President Donald Trump should reach out to Kim Jong-un for "a friendship conversation."
The NBA hall of famer is seemingly unfazed by reports that his happy friend has ordered political foes executed by anti-aircraft guns and incarcerated by flamethrowers.
Their bizarre friendship is founded on the glorious leader's love of basketball, and he is reportedly a huge fan of the Chicago Bulls, Rodman's former team.
Rodman has visited North Korea several times since 2013, most recently in June.
