"Daddy" is not a word that most 35-year-olds would use to describe their father, but if US President Donald Trump is to be believed that how his daughter refers to him.
Speaking in North Dakota about his proposed tax reform on Wednesday (US time) Mr Trump paid tribute to his daughter Ivanka and her eagerness to join him on the trip.
Mr Trump told the crowd: "She wanted to make the trip, she said, 'Dad can I go with you?' She actually said, 'Daddy can I go with you?' I like that."
While President Trump may "like that", Twitter most certainly did not, with several users taking to the platform to express their discomfort.
Ms Trump herself avoided using the phrase while speaking to the crowd. Instead she focused on how she appreciated North Dakota's continuing support for President Trump.
