The first day of school can be nerve wracking for any young child, and it seems the United Kingdom's youngest prince is not exempt.
Prince George, four, arrived at Thomas's Battersea Wednesday morning (UK time) accompanied by his father Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.
His mother Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was unable to attend. As with her first two pregnancies Duchess Middleton is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum - a severe form of morning sickness.
Prince George did not seem overly concerned though, focusing on instead hiding behind his father.
The pair were met by head of the lower school Helen Haslem and shown into the reception area.
Costing around NZ$32,000 a year the young prince can expect to enjoy small classes of around 20 students and subjects including French, art, drama, ICT and ballet at Thomas's Battersea.
