A vegan university student has been the subject of a string of attacks at her residency in Mannix College, Melbourne.
Eighteen-year-old Melis Layik, a student of law and global studies at Monash University, claims an "unstable" man climbed through her dorm window and threw raw meat at her while she was sleeping.
The same student also reportedly left a horse's heart outside her dorm room, threw livers and offal at her while she slept, and smeared chicken mince on her door - all over a period of months.
"It's been very scary," said Ms Layik. "Someone that's willing to do that is quite unstable".
The first-year student believes she is being targeted due to her being a vegan.
Ms Laynik says she complained to the university, but nothing has been done.
"They said they spoke to him and he agreed not to do it again. But he wasn't made to apologise".
A representative for Monash University said in a statement that it "takes the welfare of all its students seriously".
