A Paris zoo has been evacuated after visitors got a little too up close and personal with 52 escaped baboons.
Police and three marksmen armed with hypodermic guns were called to the scene at the Zoological Park in Vincennes, on the southeastern outskirts of the French capital, after a keeper noticed the animals huddled in a public hallway.
Most of the animals were herded back into their pen. The remaining four were found later in a nearby service area.
A zoo official told media they weren't monkeying around when it came to public safety.
"The public had been warned the evacuation was necessary because the animals can be unpredictable when stressed.
"They are stronger than us."
It is unclear how the animals escaped.
