A Facebook video shows the moment a KFC customer didn't quite get the juicy and crunchy flavour they'd expected.
Australian chicken fan Martyn Bates shared shocking footage of maggots squirming in a chicken drumstick he bought from a KFC in northern New South Wales, Australia.
"If this doesn't put you off KFC nothing will... this came with extra wiggly things," he wrote on Facebook.
A disgusted Mr Bates told the Gold Coast Bulletin the experience left him feeling sick.
"I was so disgusted, I ended up gargling half a bottle of Listerine.
"I can eat most things but when they wiggle in your mouth that's not so good, adding barbecue sauce not going to fix it."
After days of trying to get an apology Mr Bates was offered a $20 voucher - compensation he has told the Bulletin he was unhappy with.
A KFC spokesperson said it was unlikely the maggots made their way into the chicken in-store.
