Around 1.5kg of methamphetamine worth $1.5 million was found hidden in two neck pillows was seized at Wellington Airport this morning.
A 49-year-old man travelling from Hong Kong via Sydney was arrested by Customs as he tried to enter New Zealand.
Customs says the man was profiled, questioned and had his baggage searched by officers who found the stash hidden in the pillows.
The man will appear in Wellington District Court today charged with importing class A drugs and possession for supply.
