Following the November 14 magnitude 7.8 earthquake a number of buildings in Wellington remain closed and some are set to be demolished.
Of the buildings that remain closed, some are within cordons, some require further repairs and inspections and some require cleaning to be carried out.
Around 80 buildings have been given notice by the Wellington City Council that further inspection is necessary.

Malvina Major Retirement Village's Figaro Apartments (40 residents affected have been moved to other accommodation while the apartments are rebuilt)

Event Cinemas and a section of the carpark at Queensgate Shopping Centre, Lower Hutt (part of the mall has been deemed safe and 70 stores reopened today. This area has been deemed safe by engineers and the council)
