A fishing boat ablaze in the early hours of the morning at Westfleet Wharf in Greymouth is being treated as suspicious.
Police were called to the boat moored at the wharf just after 2am. No one was on board.
The fire gutted the boat, but the cause is still unknown and a scene investigation will take place today.
Police would like anyone with any information to call the Greymouth Station on 03 768 1600 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111. They would also like anyone who was in the vicinity of the Westfleet Wharf during the early hours of the morning to contact them.
