Police are appealing to the public for help identifying an offender who allegedly beat a man unconscious, kidnapped him and stole his car in Auckland.
The man is believed to be one of two perpetrators who abducted the victim, who is in his 20s, on September 26.

The victim was sitting in his dark grey 2010 Holden Commodore station wagon at the time of the incident, which was parked outside Sylvia Park mall just after 1pm.
In an explanation given to police, the victim said two men approached him, pushed him to the back seat of his car and drove him around wider Auckland - assaulting him at many points along the journey.
During at least one of the assaults, the man claims he was knocked unconscious.
However one of the alleged kidnappers made a crucial error - stopping to get petrol in the victim's car in Wiri, and being spotted by CCTV cameras.

The victim was taken to Riverhead, in rural west Auckland and managed to escape - finding a resident on Riverhead Rd, who then called the police.
He then received treatment in hospital for a black eye and what police describe as "bumps and bruises".
The victim's car is still nowhere to be seen - and police have released pictures of it in hopes that a member of the public will see it and report it to them.

They say it has a distinctive Soundstream sticker on the top of each windscreen, as well as tinted windows, a body kit and mag wheels.
The pictured offender is described as being of Pacific Island descent, in his late 20s, and having acne scarring and a tattoo on his upper right arm.

The other man is said to be Caucasian, "very pale" and having a leg tattoo.
Detective Constable Lewis Sin of Glen Innes Police says a number of enquiries have been made into the case, but admits they're yet to see any real progress.
"We still don't know what the motivation is behind this attack, or where the victim's car is," he explained.
"These are good photos and we're hopeful this man will either come forward and speak to us, or someone will know who he is and help us out."
People with information can contact Det Insp Sin on 021 191 3041 or anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
