Police have arrested four young women allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery in Papakura, South Auckland on Sunday.

Two of the teenagers, aged 13 and 14, have been referred to youth aid, while the two 16-year-olds involved will appear in Youth Court on charges of aggravated assault at Redhill Suprette.

Redhill Superette's owner Indy Purewal told Newshub his store was targeted twice during the weekend.

"I [have been] thinking about it over the last day and I just hope they actually turn their lives around and do something good. [I hope] they learn something from it at an early stage and just get on with their lives and don't do this kind of shit again," Mr Purewal said.

He said the police response on this occasion was prompt and that he is "very very happy with the outcome". Counties Manukau South Area Prevention Manager Inspector Mark Rowbottom says he hopes the arrest will be of some comfort to the victims of the incident and to the surrounding Papakura community.

"Incidents like this are a reminder to parents and caregivers to make sure you know where your tamariki are and who they are associating with," he said.

"We want to assure the public that we will not stand for this type of behaviour and will act quickly to apprehend those responsible to prevent any further harm to the community."

Three search warrants were issued by police on separate addresses in relation to the incident at the suprette.

Police are still looking to locate a teenaged boy who was also allegedly involved.
