Black Caps batsman and captain in waiting Kane Williamson has unsurprisingly won a handful of trophies at the New Zealand Cricket Awards at the Viaduct Events Centre on Auckland's waterfront.
Williamson, who scored 2692 runs in all three formats of cricket, more than any other player in the international game for 2015, was awarded the Sir Richard Hadlee medal for the best player of the year as well as Test player of the year and the Redpath Cup for batting.
Opener Martin Guptill was acknowledged for his sublime form in the coloured clothing over the last 12 months picking up ODI and T20 player of the year.
White Ferns captain Suzie Bates won women's player of the 2015 season.
Brendon McCullum was also recognised for his contribution to the game in New Zealand, after his 14-year international career came to a close yesterday in his final Black Caps match at Hagley Oval.
