Nerves got the better of a North Dakota newsreader during his first day on the job.
AJ Clemente, a young graduate, let a few choice words slip during his debut, which meant his first appearance was also his last.
"F***ing s***," he said as he shuffled papers on the desk in front of him.
Messages of support for the man flooded in to KFYRTV's Facebook page, but even that wasn't enough to get him a second chance.
"That couldn't have gone any worse," Clemente tweeted.
"Tough day, thanks for the support. We all make mistakes. I'm truly sorry for mine. I'll try my hardest to come back better and learn from this."
The nervous newbie said he didn't realise the microphone was turned on.
