Family man killed on Feilding farm

Scott Guy was a family man. The 31-year-old had a two-year-old son, and a wife due to give birth to a second child in a few weeks.

His body was found by a neighbour just after 7am yesterday at the entrance to his own driveway.

3 News understands it was found near his ute, and it appeared he'd been shot more than once.

Liz Low sold Mr Guy farm supplies.

“He was so proud of his son and loved his wife so dearly. When he came in with them, his face would beam,” she said.

3 News spoke to several other people who knew Mr Guy, who all expressed surprise at his death They were all puzzled because they said he was well liked in the community and they couldn't imagine anyone wanting to harm him.

They say guy grew up in the Feilding area, he loved being a farmer, and enjoyed riding bulls in rodeos in his spare time.

Police have set up 0800 number for the public to call but have released only the barest of details on the case and have refused interviews.
