It is two years to the day since the death of Feilding farmer Scott Guy, and the community is set to quietly remember him today.
Earlier this week, Scott Guy's brother-in-law Ewen McDonald was found not guilty of his murder.
Archdeacon David van Oeveren says both families have since asked for privacy, and that is what they will get.
“I would think that the community and their support for those families has always been very respectful of their needs first, and respect of their privacy as well,” he says.
The Archdeacon says Scott Guy, and all of those involved in the case over the past two years, will be acknowledged in prayers throughout the day.
