Swedish eurodance artist Basshunter is one of the new generation. He doesn't play an instrument, and composes his music on a computer.
His number one album and single 'Now You're Gone' has been a hit around the world. Now he's here on tour to launch his next album, Bass Generation.
Jonus Altberg, aka Basshunter, is a tall, blue-eyed Swedish geek who writes music on a laptop.
Then there's party animal side. He is only 25 and enjoying his Basshunter lifestyle.
His hit single 'Now You're Gone' reached number one in the UK charts. Originally it was in Swedish and called 'Boten Anna'
"(It) is about a security guard in a chat channel," he says. Computer love. But now he writes about real love with real women in English, which just seems easier.
Basshunter is not a musician in the true sense of the word. He's from a new generation who create music and promote themselves online.
"I play a bit of guitar and piano, and that's it," he says.
"I discovered a music program at 17 called Fruity Loops," he says.
'Boten Anna' had 30,000 downloads in 24 hours in Sweden, so it was no surprise a couple of weeks later when a management company signed him up. He was so grateful he got a tattoo of their logo.
Warner Music then signed him up – we didn't ask where that logo was. Now he's on tour launching his second album, Bass Generation.
