Brooke Shields wears high heels to make her as tall as possible.
The 44-year-old actress - who is six foot tall barefoot - is obsessed with "beautiful" shoes and deliberately opts for styles which add the most height to her frame.
She told Entertainment Tonight: "Shoes, I cannot get enough of them. I really can't. And the higher the better, even though I'm six foot tall. I don't care how tall I am, or the concussion I probably will get when I walk through the door. I think they're great and there are so many beautiful styles and I'm finally getting able to enjoy them."
Despite her showbiz career, Brooke - who has two daughters with her TV writer husband Chris Henchy - has only recently started to enjoy fashion.
She explained: "I do not consider myself a fashionista, no. I have a very different perspective of it simply because I've been in it my whole life.
It's never really been anything that I, until recently, have started to understand with regards to just myself. I spent my life putting on other people's ideas of what I should wear and taking them off and going back to my life.
"It hasn't been until recently that I've appreciated my own sensibility. I'm getting much more comfortable with it."
