Emirates Team NZ have been left somewhat red-faced, after capsizing their boat during practice on the Hauraki Gulf.
The America's Cup holders were racing British rivals Ineos Team UK off Maraetai - one of their last competitive opportunities before racing begins this week - when their bow ploughed into the water and the AC75 toppled over unceremoniously.
The team have released footage of the incident, including images of Te Rehutai being righted and towed clear.
The foiling monohulls have proved particularly tricky to keep airborne at times, but as long as no lasting damage was done, the Kiwis will likely shrug off the mishap as part of the learning curve, before their campaign begins in earnest.
Three challengers - Team UK, Luna Rossa Prada Parelli of Italy and New York Yacht Club American Magic - will begin their Prada Cup schedule on Friday, with the winners to face Team NZ for the America's Cup in March.
