This weekend's America's Cup challenger schedule has been confirmed, with racing now confined only to Saturday and Sunday.
After the dramatic capsize of New York Yacht Club American Magic, race organisers have worked around the clock to figure out a solution that complies with all the rules.
As reported by Newshub on Tuesday, racing will take place on Saturday and Sunday, with no racing on Friday.
Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli will face INEOS Team UK at 4pm, but to comply with the rules, both teams will also compete in 'ghost races' against the absent American Magic.
On Monday, Dean Barker's team confirmed they would not make the start-line for this weekend’s round robin match-ups, as they race to repair significant damage suffered in the crash on Sunday.
The 'ghost race' will then be suspended just a few minutes after the start.
There is still a chance of only one day of racing. If Team UK topple the Italians on Saturday, they will automatically qualify for the Prada Cup final and both teams will have the choice of whether to race on Sunday.
Join us at 4pm on Saturday for live updates of the America’s Cup challenger series.
