Kethaki Masilamani

Kethaki Masilamani is a TV reporter for Newshub based in Auckland, having previously worked as a radio journalist at Newshub radio and an Associate Producer of The Detail podcast.

Kethaki covers a range of general news with a particular interest in humanitarian and social justice issues, science and international news.

She has covered significant stories including the Royal Commission of Inquiry into abuse in state care, asylum seekers being jailed in New Zealand and stories on the Sri Lankan political crises.

Kethaki was part of the team who won Best News Story for their coverage of the Christchurch Mosque attacks and has been a finalist at the New Zealand Voyager Media awards.

She is a graduate of the New Zealand Broadcasting School where she was awarded the John Foy Memorial Award for excellence in radio news reporting.
