Angry Birds 2 has been announced today via an online poster, which teases more details coming soon.
The announcement of Rovio's sequel to the wildly popular mobile game comes six years after the release of the original, which sent much of the world into a bird-slinging, pig slaying frenzy in 2009.
It is far from the first follow-up title to the game however, with 12 games in the main series currently available to download and an additional three spin-off titles. Angry Birds has featured branded releases with Star Wars, Transformers and animated movie Rio all featuring crossover games.
The poster features a date for the game's full reveal, with July 28 in San Francisco the day when the world will learn more about what the sequel will have to offer.
