Bobbi Kristina Brown has died after being in a vegetative state since the beginning of 2015.
The daughter of singers Bobby Brown, 46, and late music legend Whitney Houston was in a coma for nearly six months before she perished.
According to relatives, Bobbi Kristina met her demise at the Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia surrounded by family on July 26.
"She is finally at peace in the arms of God," the Houston family said in statement to media. "We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."
Bobbi Kristina was just 22 years old when she met her death.
She was unconscious and on life support since being found facedown and unresponsive in a bathtub at her home near Atlanta, Georgia on January 31. Bobbi Kristina was moved to hospice care on June 24.
Two weeks ago fear for the fate of Bobbi Kristina was heightened when a white tent was erected in front of the hospice where she was being cared for.
The details surrounding the drowning accident that left Bobbi Kristina with irreversible brain damage are highly contentious.
Bobbi Kristina's former lover Nick Gordon, who she lived with when found unconscious in the bathtub, has recently been served with a US$10 million lawsuit issued to him by her conservators.
In June, Bobbi Kristina's conservators filed a complaint against Nick accusing him of causing his girlfriend "substantial bodily harm" and also stealing thousands of dollars from her.
The papers accuse Nick of "misrepresenting" himself as Bobbi's husband in order to control her and steal money from her. He is also under suspicion of inflicting various counts of domestic violence, "including punching her in the face, knocking out a front tooth and dragging her upstairs by her hair".
The Inquisitr recently reported the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are likely to arrest Nick on charges of murder.
