Dwayne Johnson has promised his Baywatch remake will be much edgier than the original.
The former wrestler has confirmed he and Zac Efron are making a big-screen version of the 90s lifeguard TV show, which starred the likes of Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff.
The series was renowned for the skimpy costumes cast members wore, and Dwayne has hinted the flick will retain that cheeky side.
"The cool thing about this is we want to make a movie that's big, fun, epic, and all the things that you want," he said at the D23 Expo. "We want to make sure that it has edge and badass action and dirty jokes!"
Zac has already spoken about how excited he is to be involved, saying it will be "big, real, raw" and R-rated.
For Dwayne, one of the biggest perks of the project is getting to team up with his 27-year-old co-star.
"We're excited about it. I've known Zac for some time for years by the way, and this project has been in our wheelhouse and we're very excited to make the movie," he said.
At the moment it's not known when the movie will be released, although it's thought to be readying for 2016.
Not everyone is that happy about the prospect though, with Pamela speaking out about it over the weekend. She told TMZ that no-one "appreciates the re-makes" when asked for her feelings on the matter.
It seems not everyone agrees with her, as Dwayne has been inundated with offers from stars keen to get involved with the project. In fact, the most in-demand role is CJ Parker - the blonde and busty lifeguard Pamela portrayed on the TV show.
"Who's going to play CJ?" Dwayne queried over the weekend. "I can't tell you the amount of calls we've been getting from the most gorgeous actresses and models in the world, from their agents and managers. They all want to be CJ."
