Jared Fogle, the long-time face of international sandwich company Subway, has been fired after accepting a plea deal to charges of child pornography possession.
The reality TV star, who became Subway's ambassador after losing weight by eating nothing but healthy buns, will be pleading guilty to the charges, according to reports.
And the news was enough to convince Subway bosses to sever ties to Fogle. Shortly after news of the plea deal broke this week, Subway officials took to the company's Twitter account and posted the following statement:
Fogle has not yet been formally charged in the case, which began last month after federal investigators raided his Indiana home and seized several computers and DVDs.
