One of 2015's most anticipated games is Halo 5: Guardians, due for release in just over a month.
A few hundred Kiwi Halo fans are getting an early preview of the game's all-new multiplayer mode Warzone this weekend at XONZ.
Halo 5: Guardians has been built from scratch for the Xbox One system and the multiplayer modes will use dedicated servers for matchmaking and custom lobbies, not P2P technology as has been the case with previous Halo games.
Warzone is a 24-player multiplayer mode that also includes AI characters, with a variety of different objectives to accomplish for the win.
XONZ takes place this Saturday at The Studio on Karagahape Road and along with Halo 5: Guardians it features Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege and Lego Dimensions, among other upcoming titles.
I interviewed Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer design director Kevin Franklin of 343 Industries ahead of XONZ.
