From drag queens on Segways to politicians on stand-by for projectile sex toys -- Auckland’s Ponsonby Rd played host to the annual Pride Parade on Saturday night.
Police Minister Judith Collins said she would throw the dildo back into the crowd should one be thrown at her.
A protest about the rights of transsexual inmates as well as a small anti-TPP protest held up the parade for about an hour, but their actions were met with a negative reaction from the crowd, who were there to celebrate 30 years of homosexuality being decriminalised in New Zealand.
Newshub was there to capture the colour and excitement.
