Fans of hit film Kingsman: The Secret Service will recognise British actor Taron Egerton -- but you'll be forgiven for not recognising him in his newest film.
Eddie the Eagle is the true story of the British ski jumper at the winter Olympics who didn't win a thing, but certainly won over the crowd.
But the man who would play him in a movie about his life? He wasn't even born at the time.
"I think it was something I was dimly aware of in the back of my mind," Egerton says.
Initially he was confused about who he was going to be playing.
"You said, 'Yes, I'd love to be Evil Kenevil!'," co-star Hugh Jackman says.
It's certainly easy to spot that it's the 80s -- the sexy eye-wear and even sexier ski-wear.
And embodying the entire aesthetic is Eddie the Eagle.
"[You can't get enough of] those skin-tight lycra numbers," Egerton says.
"They did lots for my bottom."
It was something he landed on quite a lot while making the film.
"But at that point I had quite a large bottom, so plenty of natural padding."
And was that natural padding useful when it came to shooting a movie in the snow?
"It was very much like The Revenant, wasn't it," Egerton says.
"Leo [di Caprio] and Tom [Hardy] had a very hard time in the cold, it was the same for us really. Exactly the same experience, lots of people have drawn that comparison."
But it's definitely nothing like The Renevant -- Eddie the Eagle firmly sits in the family-friendly domain and has just hit Kiwi cinemas.
