Pop-star Kesha says she was offered "freedom" provided she apologised for accusing producer Dr Luke of raping her.

The singer made the allegations on Instagram, but did not name anyone or elaborate on what "freedom" entailed.

"I got offered my freedom IF I were to lie. I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped," she wrote.

She says she turned down the deal because ... "I will not take back the TRUTH [sic]," she posted beneath a picture of her lying in bed.

Kesha has been fighting with record label Sony for nearly two years, after claiming Dr Luke sexually and emotionally abused her.

She has accused label bosses at Sony Music Entertainment (SME) of forcing "an abusive relationship" between herself and producer Dr Luke by reportedly turning "a blind eye" to allegations of his inappropriate behaviour.

Sony, however, has said it is ‘powerless’ in this situation.

Under the terms of her contract, the 'Tik Tok' hitmaker insists she is restricted from working with anyone else.

The singer is still under her Sony deal after a judge refused to let her record music independently.

However, a spokesperson for Dr Luke's said in a statement to E! News that Kesha was free to record without him.

"The Court repeatedly stated Kesha is already free to record without Dr Luke, and that she had not presented any facts supporting her claims. That's because all the evidence—including Kesha's own videotaped sworn testimony—show her allegations are false.

"The only thing Kesha is not free to do is to continue to lie about Dr Luke through publicity stunts and outrageous smears, ignoring the fact that by her own free will she went to work and entered new contracts with Dr Luke years after this 'incident' supposedly happened.”

In her Instagram post, Kesha added: "I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again."

Dr Luke's lawyer has blasted Kesha for including herself among victims of sex abuse following Lady Gaga's moving Oscars performance earlier in the year.
