If you're in need of something to warm you up on winter day, Kiwi reggae band Fat Freddy's Drop has announced two New Zealand shows for the coming summer.
The seven-piece band will play at Villa Maria Winery in Auckland on January 14 and John Davies Oval in Queenstown on Waitangi weekend, February 5.
The band says these are set to be their only shows back home. In August they'll be busting out some classics on a Euro summer festival tour. They also debut in Hong Kong in November.
The band released their fourth studio album BAYS in October last year and played sell-out shows at Brixton's O2 Academy.
A Gigwise review of the show said, "Fat Freddy's straddle the line between being fervently energetic and bewitchingly downtempo. They are at once unassuming and eccentric. They are an easy going jam band, and relentless innovators."
Their home shows won't be ones to miss.
Pre-sale tickets are available on Wednesday, July 20, and general tickets on Monday July 25.
