A trailer has just been released for sci-fi thriller Life, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds.
The film is said to tell the story of the six-member crew of the International Space Station that is about to make one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars.
As the crew begins to conduct research, their methods end up having unintended consequences and the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.
The film also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ariyon Bakare and Olga Dihovichnaya, and is directed by Daniel Espinosa (Child 44).
Life appears to be a more realistic space-set thriller from Hollywood, in the wake of recent successes Gravity and Interstellar.
It's set for release in May, 2017.
