Acclaimed basketball videogame franchise NBA 2K has released a virtual reality experience today on PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Samsung Gear VR.
With commentary by NBA 2K17 cover athlete Paul George, the NBA 2KVR Experience is a set of mini-games including a three-point shootout, a speed and accuracy skills challenge and a buzzer-beater countdown.
The virtual reality features may be an exciting breakthrough, but fans of the franchise wanting to compete in a full-length VR match will be left disappointed - this is the mini-game collection only, with a lower price that reflects that.
The experience is set at the Indiana Pacers' stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis.
"As a lifelong fan of NBA 2K, it's exciting to see them take the leap into VR, and even more exciting that it'll be on my home court," says three-time NBA All-Star George.
NBA 2KVR Experience is available now as a paid download, completely separate to NBA 2K17 itself.
