The launch date of TV3's new primetime current affairs-entertainment show The Project has been revealed as February 20 at 7pm.
The show, which will be hosted by Kanoa Lloyd, Jesse Mulligan and Josh Thomson, promises an "informative and very funny half-hour mix of the stories that matter from New Zealand and around the world".
A promotional video for The Project was released online today in the style of a modern musical, similar to awards darling La La Land.
It begins with the three hosts having their hair cut, with the stylists discussing the upcoming TV show and then dismissing it as "the same old song and dance".
Singing their disagreement to that sentiment, Lloyd, Mulligan and Thomson then perform a dazzling new song and dance routine, which explains what to expect from the show.
The first episode will be broadcast in less than three weeks.
