Hollywood stars Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling are heading to New Zealand to film part of upcoming Disney movie A Wrinkle in Time.
Kaling, who played Disgust in the Oscar-winning Inside Out and star of the popular TV series The Mindy Project took to social media to reveal her intentions of traveling to New Zealand for the film.
"Any lovely Kiwis out there have recommendations for me? Your country is so beautiful and I am lucky to be able to go," she said.
Witherspoon then commented on the post, saying "I can't wait to travel New Zealand with you".
A Wrinkle in Time is a fantasy adventure directed by Ava DuVernay and written by Jennifer Lee, based on the 1962 novel series by Madeleine L'Engle. The movie is set to be released in the US on April 6, 2018.
In late 2016, DuVernay captured parts of a location scouting in the South Island, hinting the rugged Canterbury landscape was a desirable place to film scenes of the movie.
Other members of the star-studded cast who could very well be voyaging to New Zealand include Oprah Winfrey, Zach Galifianakis, Chris Pine and Rowan Blanchard.
It wouldn't be Pine's first time in New Zealand. In 2014, the Star Trek actor, who plays Mr Murray in the film, found himself in court for drink driving charges and was banned for driving for six months.
He was in the country filming for Z for Zachariah.
