Britney Spears has responded to a comment by Katy Perry that appeared to be making light of her mental breakdown and head-shaving incident.
At the Grammys this week, the 'Firework' singer sported a new bleached-blonde mane, not dissimilar to Britney's look.
"It's like the last colour in the spectrum (blonde). I've done all of 'em," the 32-year-old said in an interview.
"The only thing left to do is shave my head which I'm really saving for a public breakdown. I'm down for that."
This week marks the 10th anniversary of Britney's notorious, public head-shaving, which she did after staying at a drug rehabilitation facility for less than a day.
In another Grammys interview this week, Katy explained her recent break from the spotlight as "taking care of your mental health. [It's been] fantastic and I haven't shaved my head yet!"
Fans on Twitter were quick to criticise the pop star for seemingly joking about mental health.
An unnamed source told Hollywood Life Britney was taken aback by the comments, saying they were a hurtful low blow.
On Instagram, the 'Toxic' hitmaker has now posted a photo of a sunset framed by a hand-made-heart.
"Her mouth speaks from that which fills her heart. Luke 6:45," Britney captioned the post.
Fans applauded her decision to take the high road in the feud, with one commenting, "Don't let someone like Katy get you down @britneyspears. You are an amazing person, her comment was disgusting! I'm here for you."
Katy hasn't responded to Britney, but did tweet a message thanking her fans for their support.
