Former The Bachelor NZ star Nazanin 'Naz' Khanjani has unveiled her chiselled body a day before the bodybuilding competition she's spent months working towards.
In a video posted to her Instagram account, Naz shows off her hulking back muscles as her trainer pushes her to complete a final few reps, while another photo taken on Friday focuses on her sculpted abs.
During the final days before the 2017 New Zealand International Federation of Bodybuilding competition, she says it's the diet that's toughest, not the exercise.
"This last week it's been chicken, greens, fish, protein shakes and that's pretty much it," says Naz.
"Taking carbs and fats out of my diet has made me feel really, really tired. I'm dehydrating myself as well and it's hard - it all adds up and takes a toll."
As well as the dieting, some serious hours of physical effort went into achieving the body she has now.
"In the last few months I have put my hard work, blood, sweat, everything into training," says Naz.
She says getting her back in the shape it is was helped a lot by her personal trainer, who taught her the correct techniques and adjusts the weights for her, so she doesn't even know how much she can move in a seated row.
Naz will be competing in the bikini novice short class of the competition - and she reckons she's got a good chance of winning it.
"I'm confident. That's the attitude you've got to have going into these comps, because if for any reason you're unsure, it's going to show," she says.
"I've been watching a lot of videos on YouTube and you can just pick out which girls are nervous. That's not a good look."
It's now just hours until her big moment arrives.
"I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight, I'll just be thinking about tomorrow - and my make-up artist comes to my house at 5am," says Naz.
The NZ International Pro/AM Championships 2017 takes place at the Victory Conference Centre in Auckland on Saturday, March 11.
