Rapper Kendrick Lamar has shared a hilarious text his mum sent him after she first heard his new album DAMN.
In the emoji and slang-filled message, shared by Lamar on Twitter on Sunday, Paula Oliver said she thought it was his best album so far - but chided him for looked "stressed out" on the album cover.
"This cd is bombbbbb!" she gushed.
"Boy you can make a dog laugh.
"This your best one to me, no bullshit. Your daddy said you look stressed out on the cover lol."
She mused about how this might be because Lamar had "been a over thinker" since he was young.
Ms Oliver lamented missing the livestream of her son's performance at Coachella last week: "They say you was floating in the air??!!! Your fans are some die hards. I love them."
Lamar replied to his mum with the prayer hands emoji, saying "You going emoji brazy [sic]. Who taught you "100"? Lol"
DAMN., the 29-year-old American's fourth studio album, debuted at the top of the Bilboard 200 chart when it was released on April 14.
It had the biggest sales week for any album this year, selling 603,000 total album units in the week ending April 20, according to Nielsen Music.
The previous biggest seller in 2017 was Drake's More Life with 505,000 total albums sold.
Lamar also notched up number one spots in 2015 (To Pimp a Butterfly) and 2016 (Untitled Unmastered).
