Olivia Newton-John has announced she is reluctantly postponing her upcoming North American tour due to her battle with cancer.
In a statement shared via her social media, the Grease star says the back pain that initially caused her to postpone the first half of her tour has been diagnosed as breast cancer.
Newton-John is undergoing therapy in Australia, but promises to return later this year to tour again.
"I decided on my direction of therapies after consultation with my doctors and natural therapists and the medical team at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia," she says.
In addition to natural wellness therapies, the 68-year-old will complete a short course of photon radiation therapy.
Newton-John was previously diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 before undergoing a mastectomy.
