The beef between Nickelback's Chad Kroeger and Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has ramped up a gear.
It all started when Kroeger called Stone Sour - Corey Taylor's other band - "Nickelback-lite".
Taylor initially responded by saying his rival had a "face like foot" and has now gone in for round two.
"Why do I give a shit what Chad Kroeger says," Taylor recently said in an interview. "Chad Kroeger is to rock what KFC is to chicken."
In Kroeger's rant, he had also labelled clown mask-wearing Slipknot a "gimmick" band.
Initially Taylor, renowned for his own outspoken opinions, shrugged off Kroeger's outburst by retweeting a fan who said it was "better not to respond".
But in the recent interview, Taylor went on to describe the Nickelback frontman as an "idiot".
"You can run your mouth all you want," he said. "All I know is I've been voted 'Sexiest Dude In Rock' wearing a mask. You've been voted 'Ugliest Dude In Rock' twice without one. Stick that up your ass."
