An official trailer for the stylish and celebrity-heavy Murder on the Orient Express has been released by 20th Century Fox.
The film, based on the renowned novel of the same name by Agatha Christie, is directed, produced and starred in by Kenneth Branagh - and tells the tale of a luxury train ride through Europe that's disrupted by murder.
The trailer shows off the movie's huge star power to the full, with the likes of Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Michelle Pfeiffer and Daisy Ridley all featuring at one point or another.
They each play one of 13 strangers, all of whom are suspected of killing one of the train's occupants - and Hercule Poirot, played by Branagh, must use his sleuthing abilities to determine who is responsible for the death before the murderer strikes again.
The trailer is a hit with many movie buffs, with many lauding it for its sophistication and for not giving much of the plot away, other than that a passenger dies.
Murder on the Orient Express is scheduled for release in New Zealand on November 9 this year.
