Four-time Grammy-winning artist Annie Lennox has shared an email from a radio station tell her she has "potential", and they'd like to put her music on the air.
The scam email, claiming to be from a Los Angeles radio station and obviously aimed at up-and-coming musicians, said: "I find artists who I think have potential and get them into rotation on our station.
"I came across your music online and I really like what I heard!"
Ms Lennox posted a screenshot of the email on her Facebook page.
"I think I'm in with a chance??!!!" the 'Sweet Dreams' singer wrote.
Lennox has sold more than 75 million records in a career dating back to the early 1980s.
The Eurythmics frontwoman told her Facebook fans "sadly up and coming musicians are sent these kind of scams everyday".
"I'd urge any new (or indeed established) artists to send that kind of email straight to your trash."
